Come and witness the Canadian democratic process in action! On May 2, 2011, Canadians will go to the polls to elect the next Prime Minister and Federal Parliament. As part of our series of events celebrating Canada’s 25 Years in Taiwan, the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT) is hosting an Elections Open House.
Election night coverage, including political analysis and riding-by-riding results reporting by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), will be screened live at the CTOT on Tuesday, May 3. During the screening, CTOT staff will be present to answer questions on the Canadian democratic system and on other topics related to Canada. CTOT staff will also be on-hand to introduce guests to our new office in Xinyi and to discuss the kinds of services our office provides.
Canadians, members of the public and all friends of Canada in Taiwan are welcome to attend this event.
