Notice is hereby given of a competition to staff the permanent position of Receptionist. 

Essential Qualifications:

Education
• Completed studies at College or University level OR an acceptable combination of education, training and work experience related to the duties and specific areas of competence required by the position.

Experience
• Experience in providing direct client services and dealing with public
• Experience in an office environment, preferably a trade office

Language Requirements
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Ability to communicate in French
• Fluency in all three (English, Mandarin, and French) will be considered an asset (Languages will be tested)

Knowledge/Skills
• Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
• Knowledge of using operator and mail services provided in Taiwan
• Good computer skills including experience with word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and presentation software
• Good interpersonal skills
 
Abilities/Personal Suitability
• Ability to communicate orally in an effective manner
• Attention to details
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Demonstrate good judgement and priority setting
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Sense of cooperation and a good team player

 Asset Qualifications:
• Previous work experience at the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, or study or work in Canada
• Previous work experience as Receptionist
• Fluency in oral Taiwanese
