Since most Taiwanese no longer require a visa to go to Canada temporarily, the Visa Section of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei is now closed and will no longer accept new visa applications. Taiwanese who require other immigration services such as work and study permits or applications for permanent residence will now be served by Canada’s immigration office in Hong Kong. Please consult the website of the Visa Section in Hong Kong for information about visa and immigration services and to download application forms. For more information on where to apply around the world, visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.
Important note: This does not affect the application process for the (IEC)International Experience Canada program. Applicants are required to send their applications to the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei for processing.
